I have never been a BSV supporter, but now I see why so many people hate Bitmain and Jihan Wu. Bitmain is successfully defrauding people like myself who want to withdraw their BSV coins from the btc.com wallet after the
BCH-BSV split. I got totally fucked over by Bitmain, but you don't have to get fucked over by them (see final paragraph below on how to protect yourself, if you use the btc.com wallet).
Bitmain is effectively stealing people's BSV coins by preventing people from splitting their
BCH coins with the btc.com wallet. They DO offer replay protection -- but then they give you no way at all to split your coins and withdraw your BSV coins after you've performed the replay protection.
Bitmain published this blog post entitled [BTC.com Wallet offers Replay Protection and a BSV Extraction Tool for its users](https://blog.btc.com/replay-protection-and-bsv-extraction-tool-f0ff3ed8ca2f), but this blog post is a complete lie & a total fraud. It is 100% theft.
I have tried this process with my own wallet, and I have tried this process with the wallets of multiple people I know who used the btc.com wallet -- and ALL OF US got defrauded by Bitmain.
Their replay protection works -- but then the part where you are supposed to be able to "recover" your BSV coins always fails 100% of the time. It fails with an error message that you have absolutely no BSV coins in your wallet to withdraw, even if all of your
BCH coins were from before the split. They give you a "Retry" button, but I have tried pressing this "Retry" button up to 50 times -- with no success.
I also tried sending over 10 emails to their support team, and nobody ever responded to me at all.
**IF YOU ARE USING THE BTC.COM WALLET, YOU CAN PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING TO YOU!!** All you have to do is send your
BCH coins to the Edge wallet *before* enabling replay protection in your btc.com wallet. (That's what screwed me over -- I enabled replay protection in my btc.com wallet.) Then, the Edge wallet will split your coins into
BCH & BSV for you.
